Bio: in a nutshell...

An innovator at heart, from my earliest years I have designed, built and deployed technology products, from the advent of the Internet to the latest developments in Artificial Intelligence, through mobile applications (today used by more than 500 million people). For over four decades I have worked on big data and distributed architectures, building and leading large multidisciplinary engineering and research teams across many international sites. I am interested in every technology that improves human life, with a particular interest in multimodal and heterogeneous data fusion, smart homes, wearable and connected devices, and the next generation of contextual human-machine interfaces.
